CryoLabel® Choices – Taking the Confusion Out of Finding the Right Label

Since 1987, Electronic Imaging Materials has been offering labels for cryogenic storage. Along the way, we have tweaked and improved our CryoLabel® products to fit many different types of extreme cold temperature applications.

For instance, our 667 White CryoLabel® that is very conformable and suitable for most cryogenic applications. If you have frozen tubes to label, our 686 White and 687 Clear CryoLabel® Frost materials are just the answer!

Cryogenic labels can serve a variety of functions, from adhering to very small tubes with tight diameters, flat plates, or metal storage racks. Some specimens are stored in cardboard boxes and shipped on dry ice, but most are used in either liquid nitrogen (-196°C) or freezers held at -80°C.

Some CryoLabel® materials are better suited for the certain application than others. That is why we have created a chart to help make the choices easier to understand. The materials shown here are just some of our most popular CryoLabel® products, but we have a few others to suggest for unusual conditions. History tells us it is very important for users to evaluate labels within their own applications to find exactly the right solution.
