For just under two years, Ashley has been the driving force behind a culture that values people as its most important asset. But her role goes far beyond what many might expect from HR. She is a strategic business partner, a compassionate advocate, and, as many at EIM would describe her, the “bubbly” and upbeat pulse of the company.
Putting the “Human” Back in HR
With over eight years of HR experience, Ashley’s journey into the field was born from a deeply personal mission. After witnessing a family member’s impersonal experience with a corporate HR department, she asked herself an important question: “How could this not be more human?” That question became her career’s purpose. She decided to pursue a path in Human Resources, not just to manage policies, but to bring the human aspect back to the forefront of business.

“I’m lucky to work on both business strategy and work for people,” Ashley says. “I get to speak to how important people are to the business.”
Ashley’s focus on people is apparent and at the forefront of how she engages with employees at EIM. Her ability to bring together strategic business insights while fostering a ‘people-first’ culture is more than a role. It is the essence of modern, strategic HR, a field where empathy and business strategy are essential partners.
Strategic HR in Action
At EIM, Ashley has turned her philosophy into tangible action. She has been instrumental in implementing compensation software to ensure employees are paid at market value, championing funds for professional development (which has been a tremendous contribution to the professional development of many employees), and helping to shape the company’s strategic business goals. For her, a “great day at work” is one where she achieves a win for an employee and moves the business forward in the same moment.
This approach challenges the old-fashioned view of HR as “the principal’s office.” Ashley sees her role as more of a “guidance counselor,” a resource for success. It’s a perspective that thrives in EIM’s agile, family-owned environment, where there is “less red tape, more action,” and leadership is always ready to listen.
The Woman Beyond the Job
While her professional accomplishments are nothing short of outstanding, it’s Ashley’s vibrant personality and deep empathy that truly define her impact. She approaches every situation by asking, “What if it was me? How would I want to be approached?” This empathetic core is the secret to her success in balancing employee needs with business realities. “The proof is in the pudding” as they say! Ashley goes beyond the mere requirements of a job description. She brings a very special set of insights and perspective for each unique situation and treats every person as an individual.

Beyond the office, her energy is just as infectious! She loves the thrill of rollercoasters and she’s even ziplined upside down in Hawaii! She enjoys traveling and taking in comedy, magic, and Cirque du Soleil shows. One of her greatest passions in life is caring for, rescuing, volunteering, and snuggling her animal friends! She can be found both inside and outside the office with her trusty dog-sidekick, Bob Barker!
Thanks to our Pets at Work program, we get to see both Ashley and Bob throughout the week. Sometimes Bob even brings a friend for a workplace playdate. This much is certain: Ashley has a big heart!
