It’s EIM’s 30th Anniversary!

This post is written by our Sales & Marketing Manager, Jason Wilder It is hard to believe that I have been here at EIM for 23 out of the 30 years that we’ve been in business, which makes me the elder statesman of our great team. Our roots began when our original owners, Paul and Sue Henkel, started the business out of their garage in 1987. Fast forward to today, and we’re located in a beautiful 20,000 sq. foot building, and owned by their son Alex Henkel and his wife Heather Bell. For me it is refreshing to reflect back on how far EIM has come. I have been exposed to wonderful people and enjoy being a part of a family owned business that has always been dedicated to its community, employees, and customers.

• Community: EIM has participated in United Way’s Day of Caring for the last 15 years in a row, and in doing so has helped dozens of nonprofits.
• Employees: EIM is a tight-knit set of co-workers. We just had a former employee, who worked for us through high school, graduate UNH with a BS in Optical Engineering. He still remains in touch, and we enjoy celebrating his successes with him.
• Customers: We still work with a large pool of customers who have been with us since our start 30 years ago.

2017 has been a year to remember for us.  We continue to grow and invest in new equipment. We’ve had the pleasure of welcoming more new employees on board, continuing to grow our family. Earlier this year, we were honored to be recognized as one of the best run mid-range sized companies in our industry by TLMI’s Eugene Singer Award. I feel lucky to have spent so many years working at such a sensational company, and also am grateful for getting to work with such a wonderful customer base. Without our valued customers, we wouldn’t be where we are today. That being said, as we move forward we intend to keep delivering outstanding customer service as our top priority. Our team looks forward to seeing what the next decade has in store for EIM!
