Community involvement is a cornerstone of our philosophy here at EIM—during a typical year we embrace giving back to our community in a variety of ways. One of our biggest events of the year is our annual Day of Caring partnership with the Monadnock United Way, where our employees get out of the office and take part in community service. Unfortunately this year, the COVID-19 pandemic rained on our parade and made traditional community service activities virtually impossible. But The Label Experts don’t quit! We decided to find a new, creative way to give back to our community this year.
Monadnock United Way Day of Caring—2020 Style
So how do you support the amazing organizations that help your community thrive without volunteering in person? Our philanthropy committee came together and decided to do what we do best, make labels! Our adapted Day of Caring consists of producing an order of labels from start to finish all in the same day for a local non-profit.
With the help of our friends at the Monadnock United Way, we put out a call to local non-profit organizations to submit proposals for labels. We decided to donate free asset labels to Rise for Baby and Family, a local non-profit children’s center. Rise will use these labels to keep track of toys and other supplies used by kids there.
Setting an MUW Giving Campaign Record!
Besides our one day label donation project, we launched a company wide giving campaign for Monadnock United Way. The generosity of all our employees during this campaign was on full display—we set a donation record, raising over $15,000!
Between our unique take on our traditional Day of Caring and giving campaign, we were delighted to set our philanthropic bar higher and help local non-profits that are doing so much for people in need in our community this year.
