Customer Spotlight: Labels Find a Home in National Parks

Novelist, essayist, and forthright conservationist Edward Abbey once wrote that “The idea of wilderness needs no defense, it needs only defenders.” Electronic Imaging Materials, Inc. has worked with several defenders of wildlife over the years, and hope that our environmentalist customers stay with us and promote our friendly label services to their colleagues. One of our customers is the National Park Service whose mission is to preserve “the natural and cultural resources and values of the national parks and monuments for the enjoyment, education, and inspiration of this and future generations.” To meet this goal, this organization employs up to 20,000 workers to protect over 400 different locations and help native tribes, local governments, nonprofit organizations, businesses, and individual citizens. Without their services, who could say what might happen to our beautiful country?

For the park service, we provided Wrap-N-Vu® Self-Laminating Cable Labels for laser printing. These durable labels have a clear portion of material that wraps around cables and wires to protect printed information. As with any government agency, the NPS relies on a large communications network to track all of their facilities, workers and projects. Keeping their wires straight can be crucial, but this is just one possible label application for such a large agency that restores, preserves and maintains our national treasures. EIM always looks forward to working with local, state and national park services to solve whatever labeling challenges come trekking through their trails.
