February 2026: Electronic Imaging Materials, Inc. Announces Product Transition For CryoLabel® 667 To CryoLabel® 563
If you’re one of our longstanding lab partners, you’re undoubtable very familiar with our 667 CryoLabel®—for the last thirty years, it’s been the all-around hero of our CryoLabel® product family, our go-to recommendation for laboratories processing samples in extreme cryogenic conditions.

In 2023, our longstanding raw material supplier for our 667 stock underwent consolidation. For a time, their new company continued to provide raw material to EIM. But after 30 years of service, they recently announced that our 667 material will be discontinued.
When it comes to supply chain disruptions affecting our customers, our goal is always to offer a comparable or better performing product. Our 563 CryoLabel® for labs has been commercially deployed for a number of years and has performed equally, if not better than 667 for many of our customers. Like 667, the adhesive technology of 563 allows it to be applied to already-frozen surfaces* and adhere securely to extremely tight diameter test tubes, a game changer for many of our lab clients.
For customers who want to place a final stock replenishment order of 667, EIM Director of Technical Solutions Juan Munoz says, “We will continue to fulfill orders with 667 until our inventory is depleted, which we forecast to be sometime in March of 2026.”
Want to pre-validate the 563 CryoLabel® in your lab? Reach out to us today, and we will mail out test samples ASAP!
*This is the fine print where we have to tell you: because frozen surface conditions can vary, EIM strongly recommends testing for suitability inside your lab. Actually, we recommend testing for almost everything, but frozen surfaces definitely top that list!
