The Label Experts are always glad to lend a helping hand, whether it be on land or on sea. Recently we were approached by the Township of Hamilton Rescue Squad with a request for an underwater labels solution to use on their dive team’s gear. 
The Township of Hamilton Rescue Dive Team is a water rescue resource that’s been operational for more than twenty years. The group of volunteer’s trains to execute ice, cold water and underwater rescues, with the assistance of local fire and police departments.
A key member of the group, Clem Thomas, contacted us via our Facebook Page. Clem explained that his team was looking for barcode labels to track their diving gear. The labels would need to adhere to gear such as metal air tanks, plastic dive gear, and rubber fins/wetsuits. As one might expect, these labels would also need to be able to survive water submergence.
This wasn’t our first under-the-sea rodeo, we’ve actually labeled underwater before. Since we’d already earned our sea-legs, we had a hunch that we knew the perfect label. EnduraLabel is a line of white polyester labels for tough industrial applications. The ultra-aggressive adhesive provides a long-lasting bond, for durability that the dive team can count on. The label’s waterproof quality and resistance to UV and direct sunlight also makes it ideal for outdoor applications. Samples were sent, labels were tested, and as expected EnduraLabel was right for the job.
When you’re in the business of saving lives, it’s critical that your gear is ready-to-go at all times. Setting up their inventory tracking system provides the dive team with a way to ensure emergency response equipment is routinely inspected and tested.
