One of their interesting programs involves DNA drug testing for equestrian sports. Here blood and urine samples are taken to investigate the use of any performance-enhancing drugs such as amphetamines, methylphenidate, low-dosage tranquilizers, bronchodilators and behavior modifiers. Their goal is to ensure fair sportsmanship throughout all competitions.

Samples of blood and urine are taken by the testing veterinarian while witnesses stand by. On their sample containers, a durable white Tamper-Evident “VOID” Label is adhered over the entire cap of a sample container. Kristin Lomas of the VGL explains, “We use the “VOID” to show whether or not the sample has been tampered with. When we receive samples, we check all of the labels to make sure that the “VOID” is not showing. If it is, we know somebody has tried to peel or twist the lid off of the sample.” Security label sealed sample tubes and a racing horse

On the other hand, when the label is left alone and not tampered with, it will have a seamlessly smooth surface with no “VOID” message. In addition to its unique security features, a tamper-evident VOID label performs where durability, moisture, temperature, chemicals and solvents are important! Other common uses for this product include warranty marking, counterfeit prevention and asset tracking.

EIM offers “VOID” Tamper-Evident labels in white or silver polyester and can be blank for on-site printing or custom printed with text, logo, barcodes, and color coding. If you want them preprinted and made ready for immediate application, a protective over-laminate can be added for extra durability in harsh environments.
