Common Floor Labeling Questions
Will these floor labels work in my freezer warehouse?
Yes. However, some products will require higher temperatures during installation, but can be brought to freezer temps after 24-48 hours. Please consult a Label Expert about your application conditions!
Can I order a small amount of floor labels or label holders to start?
Yes. As a custom label manufacturer, EIM has the flexibility to do shorter print runs for our customers who don’t wish to order large quantities.
How hard is it to install FloorCode floor label products?
Streamline and Impact an typically be installed in less than 3 minutes. It’s important to tamp down the FloorCode product with a heavy weight as the last step of installation, and avoid forklift traffic for 48 hours afterwards for best durability results. Metal frames require drilling into the floor to install, so it’s best to plan for a longer installation process if you go with that option.
Will floor label holders damage my warehouse floor?
No. Aluminum floor label holders’ heavy-duty adhesive will not damage your floor. To remove, simply place a small scraper blade underneath it and pull upwards. A small amount of adhesive residue may remain on the floor but is easily removed with a cleaning solution.
Do your floor label protectors come in custom size options?
Streamline floor label shields can be purchased in a wide variety of custom sizes and shapes. FloorCode Impact floor label holders are one size only.
Can I buy floor label shields without labels?
Yes. Our floor label shields can be purchased with or without accompanying floor labels. If you don’t have labels yet but want to print your own, ask the Label Experts about purchasing blank labels and label printers.
Can I buy floor labels from you without purchasing protective shields or floor label holders?
Yes, but we do recommend discussing your warehouse conditions with a Label Expert before taking this step. If your floor labels will be exposed to heavy traffic on a regular basis, our first recommendation is always to pair an industrial label with some form of protection for best results, whether that is a shield, protective label holder, or metal frame.
