Where Electronic Imaging Materials, Inc. All Began
In 1987, Paul Henkel and his wife Sue decided to start their own label manufacturing company, Electronic Imaging Materials, Inc. They dreamed of creating a company culture focused on sustainability and healthy, balanced growth. Determined to set a strong base of smart business practices without losing sight of the truly important things in life—people—Paul and Sue started EIM. They were filling label orders out of their garage in Keene, New Hampshire.
Second Generation, Family Owned
Orders were increasing, and as a result, after just one year in business, Paul and Sue made the decision to set up shop on Emerald Street in Keene. EIM began to develop signature product lines, including our first registered brand, CryoLabel®. In early 2003, healthy growth led The Label Experts to move to an even larger space at our current location on Forge Street. In 2006, after nearly 20 years in business, Paul and Sue made the decision to retire. Subsequently, the company ownership transitioned to their son, Alex Henkel, and his wife Heather Bell.
